I’m Taylor Hansen, founder of Masterclass Credibility. Like many, I followed the traditional path—get good grades, earn a degree, land a “safe” job. I built a career in finance, but over time, I became fascinated by the rise of online courses & masterclasses—a world where people could learn high-income skills from successful individuals.
I was eager to explore this space, but I also knew the risks. I had heard horror stories about overpriced, underwhelming programs, so I did my due diligence—only to still end up in a misrepresented course that overpromised and underdelivered. And I wasn’t alone. After connecting with other students, I realized this was a huge problem—one that was hurting students and dragging down the credibility of the entire industry.
But not all courses were bad. After working in sales for multiple programs, I saw the behind-the-scenes operations of different courses. Some were just as misleading as the one I had taken—but others were genuinely valuable, well-structured, and led by ethical instructors. The problem? There was no easy way for students to tell the difference.
That’s why I started Masterclass Credibility—to bring accountability and transparency to online courses. We collect real student experiences, verify authenticity, and provide unbiased research so people can make informed decisions before they buy.
The online learning space has massive potential—but only if students can trust the process. That’s what we’re here to fix.
